The Art of Gentle Grooming
Meet Avery Baldoni, a detail obsessed canine groomer dedicated to the wellness of your companions. Specializing in dogs under 40 pounds, Avery brings a calm, grounded approach to grooming in Boulder County, Colorado, ensuring every visit is as restorative as it is refined.
Avery has always felt a special connection with animals. She started riding horses at the age of three and since then has shown English and Western Disciplines, owned two horses of her own, trained horses, worked on various farms including the thoroughbred racing industry and hunter jumpers, and taught students how to ride over the past 25 years. She grew up with multiple dogs, including Catahoula Leopard Dogs(her family breed), Cattle Dogs, Cane Corso, a Doodle, and a Great Dane. After moving to the city in college, she was introduced into companion pet care. She started her journey in boarding kennels where she learned about dog behavior, socialization, and specialized care and training techniques. A few years later, she found a dog training mentor and became a dog trainer offering private lessons, in-home boarding, and group lessons for a wide range of needs. She continued this after moving to Colorado in 2020, working at training facilities and the Longmont Humane Society Behavior team. You may also know her from her time as the Assistant Manager at Chuck and Dons Longmont. Eventually, while working at a boarding kennel for a change of pace, Avery met her first mentor in Dog Grooming, and she knew she had found her professional passion! Avery continued her training in Florida, where she trained under master and internationally trained groomers. She opened a home-based salon thoughtfully curated for small and medium dogs. Now, Avery has brought her care and skillset back to the Colorado Front Range with Wolf & Hound Wellness where she hopes to grow her community of pet owners and thoughtful, high quality canine grooming. Avery owns a rescue doodle named Kino, and a British Short Hair cat named Theo. In her free time, she enjoys training Kino, being with horses, hiking, photography, learning languages(spanish and portguese), exercising, and spiritual practice. Her goals outside of Wolf & Hound are to start a family with her husband, continue to attain grooming mentorship and education, and acquire a mobile grooming salon. By choosing Avery to be your pet groomer, you are investing in a young woman and her passion, her family, 20+ years of professional animal care, and 10 years of professional Canine care.
